BTEC - Positive and Rewarding Feedback from Bilton School

Bilton School needed a solution for two learners with escalating behavioural issues and attendance deficiencies.

These two learners undertook, completed and passed BTEC Level II Health & Beauty Studies through Herriotts & Millward, completing                                                   the program in July 2013.

Below is some great feedback provided by one of the school's Assistant Headteachers:

"Of the two learners who have completed BTEC this year, one learner is absolutely clear that the course not only improved her behaviour in school, but also taught her how to work in groups, (which was a skill she had previously not mastered).

She is also very keen to continue in this area, either by moving on to a level three course, or by pursuing extended Work Placement.

The school feels that both girls have gained a significant amount from the course. They were escalating behaviour concerns when the course was mooted and over time they have become much calmer and more receptive to their studies in school.

Although one learner's attendance is far from perfect, it is much improved on the rapid slide she had begun before starting the course.

We are very pleased with both the certification outcomes and the positive impact which the course (and the travel to and from the school) have had on both girls".
