With a varied background in Education spanning nearly 40 years, Devaney’s experience in Special Educational Needs is Broad and Balanced and covers Early Years to Secondary level.

Devaney’s expertise lies in developing and promoting S.M.S.C throughout the curriculum whilst training colleagues in sustainable strategies to maintain Well Being throughout the school.

Whilst her early career was spent in Special Education, for the past twelve years Devaney has been at the helm of a company delivering a huge range of programs to schools all over the country with the specific aim of developing a widespread approach to the Well Being of our children, teachers and the wider community.

More recently, she has designed and delivered a varied range of programs including Mindfulness, directly addressing Ofsted requirements relating to S.M.S.C grade descriptors.

Design and delivery are all part of the offer and although there are a range of training opportunities for both colleagues and students, Devaney is also available to create bespoke programs for individual schools or Academy groups.

Training programs

Introduction to Mindfulness

A package that helps teachers to develop their own levels of emotional resilience and thus;

  • Helps reduce work related stress and the impact it has on health
  • Assists in Self-managing any health condition(s) they may have
  • Reduces the suffering associated with health condition(s)
  • Helps return to work after periods of sickness as well as transition back into activity, creativity and productivity.
  • Return to work happily, willingly and voluntarily.
  • Helps colleagues Stay at work with greater resilience and better self- awareness.

NQT / RQT Training

Bespoke package for any group of NQT/RQT but including;

  • Personal emotional resilience
  • Maintaining a positive approach
  • Developing healthy classrooms
  • Mindful approaches

Helping new and recently qualified teachers get to grips with maintaining high levels of Emotional resilience not only for their students but also for themselves.

Classroom Dynamics that promote S.M.S.C

In order to achieve outstanding, schools must illustrate a clear thread of S.M.S.C throughout their practice. This bespoke program will develop;

Peer Massage training

A Program for teachers giving them the skills to develop;

Mindfulness /MBSR

An organic process to help teachers;

  • Bring about a change on the inside
  • Become more aware of their own emotional state and how to manage it.

  • Gain a better understanding of how to deal with difficult situations.

Helping children to achieve their goals through a more mindful approach an eight weeks program to develop their ability to focus and remain calm. Developing a greater understanding of Mindfulness and how to incorporate it into daily life, reducing stress and anxiety

This training will give teachers the skills and knowledge to teach Mindfulness to their cohorts. It’s validated by the Mindfulness in Schools program.

Well Being Packages for Whole School.

"Calm Minds and Calm Spaces"

These workshops are designed to enable students to manage stress through a variety of holistic and sustainable strategies. These workshops work particularly well as a pre exam taster day for year 6, year 10, year 11, 12.

The workshops are also available for staff training days.
