With a varied background in Education spanning nearly 40 years, Devaney’s experience in Special Educational Needs is Broad and Balanced and covers Early Years to Secondary level.

Devaney’s expertise lies in developing and promoting S.M.S.C throughout the curriculum whilst training colleagues in sustainable strategies to maintain Well Being throughout the school.

Whilst her early career was spent in Special Education, for the past twelve years Devaney has been at the helm of a company delivering a huge range of programs to schools all over the country with the specific aim of developing a widespread approach to the Well Being of our children, teachers and the wider community.

More recently, she has designed and delivered a varied range of programs including Mindfulness, directly addressing Ofsted requirements relating to S.M.S.C grade descriptors.

Design and delivery are all part of the offer and although there are a range of training opportunities for both colleagues and students, Devaney is also available to create bespoke programs for individual schools or Academy groups.

Nikki Shaw
Engagement and dialogue consultant

Nikki has over 35 years experience of Teaching and Learning, working here in the UK, Europe and Africa. She was a Head Teacher/Head of Children's Centre in Birmingham for 10 years.

Specializing in working with children with emotional and behavioural difficulties Nikki worked with Birmingham Behaviour support services working with the Framework for intervention developing support and training for staff, parents and children both in maintained schools and PVI settings.

As an HT she was responsible for leading and developing an integrated nursery school and children's centre serving 1,700 families, working with health, social care, and the third sector to design and deliver Education services supporting families and children living in an area of high deprivation.

Nikki is visually impaired and was diagnosed with RP in 2010 and registered blind. She worked as a disabled leader and was a member of DASL ( disability and senior leadership) at the National College of School Leadership supporting National and local bodies of governance, unions, employers and staff.

"Throughout these years I have learnt that engagement and involvement, to make a difference, is a challenge for us all. I am now in a position to put my passion, experience, skills and knowledge to use in a new way. I celebrate diversity and understand the complexities it brings to schools in today's demanding landscape".

Nikki has a wealth of experience in developing training around dialogue and diversity and offer a really unique training package with a unique outlook. Her experience in Education is phenomenally broad and she brings a refreshing outlook and perspective to age old issues.
